The 2 year frame off restoration was completed in september of 2015 the mga sports a great performing mgb 1800 3 main engine with a 3 syncro 4 speed transmission and 391 differential gear for highway cruising. The goal of the restoration was to blend racing and nostalgic themes, while adding or improving safety, serviceability and drive-ability features. In keeping with the sebring theme the radio is deleted; however the antenna is installed for future radio installation if desired. I like to describe this car as a new 1957 mga roadster.

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1957 MG MGA Roadster for purchase. “The First of a New Line” – That was the marketing approach for MG as it rolled out its fresh MGA to the public in 1955. These cars were vastly different from any MG prior featuring a wider chassis, lower seating position, a more powerful “B-series” motor etc. it also features independent suspension and rack and pinion steering. MGAs are ideal collector cars. They're affordable, simple to work on, rugged and attractive. Parts are readily available and moderately priced which can be surprising given the exotic appearance. The MGA offered here was loved and cared for very well and remains in excellent condition. Last year the carburetors were rebuilt and new air filters were installed. The car has chrome wire wheels with knock offs. It has a chrome luggage rack, Blaupunkt AM Stereo, jack and tool kit, wooden cockpit trim, full tonneau cover. The car features a 4 cylinder mated to a manual transmission. MGA's remain highly sought after among sports car and British motoring enthusiasts. There reliability keep them easy to own, they remain at a price point for the common man, and they have consistently gained in value over the years making them a worthy investment. These cars are elegant and sporty and well received in all motoring circles.

Built for a total of seven years from 1955 through 1962, the MGA was designed by Syd Enever and was done so at the start of 1951. It was a body on frame design and used the B-series engine from the Magnette, the convertible had no exterior door handles and was offered with wire or steel wheels. It was equipped with the 1489 cc engine that produced 68 HP. The early cars tested in at nearly 100 MPH and could accelerate from 0-60 in 16 seconds with an average fuel economy of 26 MPG. This excellent example has been restored with driveability and safety in mind. The cars original steel wheels were replaced with knock off wires wrapped in 4 new tires. For cooling a external oil cooler was added along with electronic ignition. The generator was replaced with an alternator from a MGB and the front end is MGB along with Disc Brakes. All new suspension parts and bushings at that time as well. The radiator has been replaced and new Radio has been added.
