A mark ii version was added in 1967, and the car stayed in production until 1980, becoming one of the most successful british sports cars of all time, with a total of over 300,000 cars being exported to the u. It is finished in damask red paint and shows well. It shows some signs of age but remains very solid. This car was well cared for and loved for many years. It just came to us out of a collection and when the owner purchased it years ago he had the car shipped to the mg guru, john twist, and had the car gone through. Over 1,000 dollars were spent making sure this british beauty was ready for the open road. The engine fires right up and the car can be driven anywhere with confidence. Under the hood is in immaculate condition and shows well. The 1. 8l 4 cylinder engine is mated to a manual transmission with overdrive. The black convertible top was replaced 10 years ago and still looks brand new. Spring is here and summer is not too far behind, making this the perfect time of year to get behind the wheel of this mgb.
