Originally THUNDERBIRD BRONZE /COLONIAL WHITE TOP W. SAN JOSE DISTRIBUTION CENTER. History: Originally delivered to San Jose, then relocated to Sacramento, where the prior owner purchased the car in 1983. Prior owner began the restoration at a professional shop where the car was stripped to bare metal and all rust removed and repaired. The car was coated with a primer/sealer at that time. The prior owner was unable to have the car completed so it remains in the present unfinished condition. Some of the parts have been restored while some still are in need of refurbishing. I purchased the car in 2015. Condition: As shown in the photos, the car is need of paint and assembly. The body is rust free and very straight for a car of this age. With the exception of the left front fender (which will require some metal work) only minor body work is required. Engine and transmission will need to be rebuilt. I have inventoried most of the parts. The vast majority of the parts appear to be included, but no guarantees. Some parts are new and in boxes. A noted exception is a missing windshield and back glass as well as the driver's side inside garnish molding. These parts are easily obtainable. Hardtop included but no soft top.

This is a second owner vehicle that i purchased in 1972. The car had 75,000miles when purchased. At 90,000 the engine threw a rod and it was replaced witha ford, gpd long block. The car currently has 112,500 original miles and waslast registered in 1979. The vehicle has been in storage since 1979. The car hasbeen restored in the last year. The engine has been tuned and has a rebuiltholly 4 bbl carburetor. The vehicle has a new white paint and numerous newemblems and trim pieces. The weatherstripping with the exception of the top hasall been replaced. The interior was redone with new upholstery, door panels,kick panels, carpeting, and all new window and door handles inside and out. Therear springs have been re-arched and all new bushings and rear shock absorbershave been installed. The brake shoes, all springs, wheel cylinders and mastercylinder have been rebuilt or replaced with new. The car has new brake hosesfront and rear. The front sway bar bushings have been replaced and the car hasrechromed bumpers. The dash panel has new chrome reveals and lenses and thegauge needles have been restored to the original color. The only damage was adent in the left rear quarter panel that was repaired prior to my purchasing thecar and a small dent in the valance in front of the hood that was repaired in1974. This car has been in california since it was manufactured at the san joseassembly plant in 1957. The body and undercarrage are solid and rust free. Thetop works flawlessly.

She has been in storage for 30 years since purchased in the 1980's. My mechanic just went through vehicle and replaced all brakes lines, master cylinder, wheel cylinders and rear drums. Also replaced gas tank, fuel pump, fuel filters and gas lines. Replaced freeze plug, coolant and oil change. Vehicle runs great and cleaned up as the pictures show. Chrome is in great shape along with interior. Vehicle was repainted white with a white interior in lacquer assuming in the late 70's. Looks great from a distance but shows signs of checking at lead jointed areas. This is the 2nd t bird in the collection to be sold. This car would be a great cruising vehicle to enjoy during the summer months.

Being sold "as is" so please ask questions and don't assume anything. This is a 59 year old car that for it's age is in good condition. On the exterior the bumpers could use a rechome. On the interior their is s rip in the seat and the carpet is faded. This is not a new car, and could use some more mechanical before driving on the road. Check brakes, engine, tran etc.
