The car being offered for sale is a prime and well cared for example that is guaranteed to bring smiles to the face of any new owner, and constant admiration from those who see it. Over the years this car has received both cosmetic (older) and on-going mechanical attention to maintain a prize-winning appearance while providing very pleasurable, and reliable performance. Owning one of these appreciating cars is an ultimate joy, and the maintenance of them is surprisingly simple and easy. And, virtually any part is available from a number of reputable companies in the usa. There are routine service and mechanical repair records available, along with a service manual, and a nice stash of the usual spares. The motor is strong, and the transmission shifts smoothly. All exterior lights and latches, interior gauges, switches, and wiring work as intended. All panel lights work, the trip meter works, as well as the heater, and electric windshield washer. This car comes equipped with an overdrive transmission, nos lucas ranger driving lights, functional car jack and tools, a high quality car cover, a brand new but never installed luggage rack, and weather gear that is in excellent condition save the never used side curtains which are in useable but average condition. Over the past few years this rust free car has received a refresh of the entire suspension front to back, (imported from england), electronic ignition, a total rebuild of the break system, new tires, new water pump, rebuild of the carbs, a new higher performance radiator, and a refreshed steering box and steering column. Minor improvements have been made, including removing the high beam switch from the fire wall/floor to provide additional legroom for a tall driver. A high beam toggle switch from an early jaguar is now conveniently found on the dash. A spin on oil filter has been installed. The clunky triumph od switch has been replaced with a very attractive switch from an austin healy 3000. The oem switch comes with the car. All major mechanical renovation was completed by the master technician at the renowned sports car services of vermont, now located in new hampshire. The spare tire is functional, the chrome is exquisite, the shiny paint is in very good condition, carpets are in very good condition, the rubber bits are excellent, and the windshield is clear. The rearview mirror is speckled with age, but it is original to the car, has seen many miles of entertaining driving unfold behind it and i have steadfastly refused to replace those memories. This is a genuine grade ii, multiple prize winning car that will not disappoint.

Absolutely the finest in existence! This very rare 1949 triumph 2000 roadster has never been seen in public. From the factory, it is an all aluminum body, tube frame, model 2000 [2. 1 liter] painted in it's original green. Purchased from a widow in arizona 8 years ago with the promise that the car would be restored to the utmost quality standards. This car is fast, lightweight and is completely trimmed in the finest leather. The crate had never been opened. Restoration costs alone topped $125,000. It's starts up immediately and runs flawlessly benefiting from a completely rebuilt motor. Yes, all the gauges and lights work. Mascot does not accompany purchase, but an extensive document collection does. Including the original owner's manual, wiring diagrams, original photos and 3-ring binders full of proper restoration guides from the triumph roadster club. The engine compartment is filled with all of the the factory original tools, jack and handle, tire pump, grease gun, original hand crank, extra petrol can, oiler, etc. All of which remain un-restored with the perfect patina. The triumph 200 roadster is the world's last rumble seat automobile [referred to as the dickie seats]. They are also trimmed in matching leather and have chromed plated elaborate hinges. Yes the semiphores [turn signals] work. In fact they are nos. I still have the paint code and some extra paint. The color is a 1957-59 reutter-bodied porsche color called auratium green; which is almost an exact color match to the triumph's factory green and is quite striking. I did leave an area of the original paint untouched inside the gas cap door for comparison should a judge ever want proof of the correct color. The new owner will absolutely want to join the club. They are a great group. Additional facts: the entire body is aluminum wrapped around a wooden sub-structure; with the exception of the front fenders which are steel. All the body panels are 'factory'. The floors are wooden as well. The dash board is veneered with many coats of high gloss varnish done by one of the best wood finishers on the country. The entire car is leather, even the door panels which utilize three different leathers. The door panels are a work of art in themselves. Since this was a frame-off restoration; every nut and bolt has been re-finished or replaced. I only own the finest cars in the the world, and this car is no exception.

It has been treated to a complete, performance driven restoration finished in desirable sapphire over blue and black two-tone interior. The car is powered by its performance built 2. 5-liter inline 6 cylinder engine, 4-speed transmission with overdrive, and rear wheel drive. Mechanical highlights included dual stromberg carbs, high performance cam, ceramic headers, custom dual exhaust, aluminum valve cover, coil-over suspension, cm external oil filter system with braided lines and oil distribution block, etc. Cosmetically, the car is excellent in all areas. The sapphire blue exterior paint, although not fresh, lays flat, has a deep gloss and shows excellent in all areas. The interior is excellent including a near perfect dash and gauges, newer carpet, excellent headliner and newer upholstery. The engine compartment is detailed and tidy, the underside remains very detailed as the undercarriage is fully restored as well. The performance of this gt-6 is amazing. With a little choke and the turn of the key, the car springs to life with a healthy exhaust note and excellent throttle response. Once to temperature, the car absolutely sings through the rpms with precise shifting through the gears. The overdrive engages flawlessly enabling high speed cruising for extended periods of time. The suspension and steering work together in tandem, tight, true, providing outstanding feedback to the driver in performance driving situations. The triumph gt6’s have recently fallen in favor with vintage performance enthusiasts. Their classic gt styling is timeless, and while british sports cars are usually of the open-air variety, the gt6’s design and performance fiercely competes with any car in its class that all of europe had to offer. They are high on the collectability scale and are poised to increase in value.
