1973 Triumph TR-6 Convertible. It has a newer cherry red paint job, runs great and sounds amazing. Wooden steering wheel and shift knob, wooden dash with no cracks or chips. Upgraded with a CD/stereo and speakers behind the seats. Includes a tonneau cover and indoor car cover. Panasport alloy wheels look new. Plenty of tread on the tires. All gauges are OEM Smiths/Lucas and function, with the exception of the fuel gauge, which always reads empty. Car pulls strong in all gears, and has a padded roll bar with a windscreen built in. I've put about $ 7,000 into the car in the last year. Here's what was done: new alternator, new clutch, replaced water pump, replaced master brake cylinder, remove stub axles and replace seals. rear end assembly removed, all mounts replaced and assembly welded back onto car (common stress joint in these cars - rear end will separate if this isn't done eventually), replaced steering rack kit and mounting bushings (entire front steering rack system redone). Gr auto gallery is pleased to offer this wonderful example of one of the most popular classic open-air british roadsters, this 1961 triumph tr3a. This hails from the great state of california where it resided until 2009 when acquired by its third owner and transported the car to michigan. The car was the recipient of a ground up style restoration where it received new paint and a new interior in 2008. The frame and underside was left untouched and remains excellent original speaking volumes on the structural integrity of this tr3. Highlights include: dayton knock off wire wheels with each wheel containing 60 polished stainless steel spokes, new robbins soft top, new side curtains, new top stick boot, heater, hand crank, original jaeger gauges (all working), bakelite banjo style steering wheel, original chrome and trim etc. Recent services include: hydraulic systems rebuild including new flexible brake lines, rebuilt front calipers, master cylinder and slave cylinder rebuilt, bushings replaced, hoses and fuel lines replaced and most recently, a major tune up and valve adjustment. Since acquisition in 2009, the car has been looked after regularly by a british car specialist in clarkston, mi and as a result, mechanically, the car is excellent in all areas. It starts up with no issues, pulls strong in all gears, shifts correctly and smoothly, clutch has great feel and no chatter, and the brakes stop quickly and straight. The car is powered by its perky 1991 cc 4 cylinder engine fed by its dual su carbs, 4 speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive. The car has been regular participant in the woodward dream cruise and the battle of the brits where it was always well received. The triumph tr3 is a staple in every automotive diet and its classic bug eye style headlights and low slung doors capture the essence of british styling of the era. These cars are globally sought after not only for its style, but also as a spirited driver the delivers excitement.

And, virtually any part is available from a number of reputable companies in the usa. There are routine service and mechanical repair records available, along with a service manual, and a nice stash of the usual spares. The motor is strong, and the transmission shifts smoothly. All exterior lights and latches, interior gauges, switches, and wiring work as intended. All panel lights work, the trip meter works, as well as the heater, and electric windshield washer. This car comes equipped with an overdrive transmission, nos lucas ranger driving lights, functional car jack and tools, a high quality car cover, a brand new but never installed luggage rack, and weather gear that is in excellent condition save the never used side curtains which are in useable but average condition. Over the past few years this rust free car has received a refresh of the entire suspension front to back, (imported from england), electronic ignition, a total rebuild of the break system, new tires, new water pump, rebuild of the carbs, a new higher performance radiator, and a refreshed steering box and steering column. Minor improvements have been made, including removing the high beam switch from the fire wall/floor to provide additional legroom for a tall driver. A high beam toggle switch from an early jaguar is now conveniently found on the dash. A spin on oil filter has been installed. The clunky triumph od switch has been replaced with a very attractive switch from an austin healy 3000. The oem switch comes with the car. All major mechanical renovation was completed by the master technician at the renowned sports car services of vermont, now located in new hampshire. The spare tire is functional, the chrome is exquisite, the shiny paint is in very good condition, carpets are in very good condition, the rubber bits are excellent, and the windshield is clear. The rearview mirror is speckled with age, but it is original to the car, has seen many miles of entertaining driving unfold behind it and i have steadfastly refused to replace those memories. This is a genuine grade ii, multiple prize winning car that will not disappoint.
