The styling of a jaguar is extremely unique and immediately recognizable to just about anybody. It does not take a lot of car knowledge or history to notice one of these beauties of art. This model was conceived and engineered to replace the famous e-type lineup for jaguar and was built from 1975-1996 with many changes and upgrades along the way. Many say that this model is the last true jaguar that was developed, engineered and put into production by the jaguar team prior to any outside influences. These iconic convertibles were setup very well for driver and passenger along with plenty of cargo room to make this a very nice road car to take anywhere. The car was meticulously cared for since new when it was delivered on 8-15-91 out of flavey motors of troy in troy michigan. The car was optioned in the stunning classic collection special edition for 1991. The signal red paint still shines as new and all bright work is in great shape. The very rare doeskin leather interior is highlighted by the factory mulberry piping along the seats. Vehicle has full power seats, power windows, a/c that blows cold, heated seats, power lumbar seats, cruise control, 15in lattice wheels, fog lights, digital computer, and power convertible top and map lights. All features work and function, lights all work, heated seats turn on, power windows go up and down, the radio works and even the cigarette lighter (never used) warms to a glow within seconds. Vehicle comes with all owner's manuals, two sets of keys, many receipts of service work, cassette tape cleaning kit, and the radio code card. Vehicle has a crystal clean carfax and title and just last summer the car received a new steering rack, new fluids, new fuel sending unit and steering gear. This car received the care required and was driven with respect. This is an instant collector quality vehicle and one that needs to be bought by a person that not only appreciates fine vehicles, but sees the tremendous upside on this car in the near future. Extremely collectable, very rare. Low miles, must see to believe. Just over 20k miles from new. No rust, extensive maintenance history. Fitted car cover also included. The phone is slotted into the ash tray space. The ash tray is present and it can be put back to stock look in 15 minutes. This is not a common xjs. 1. Unique conversion that left the gas tank alone, even hess+eisenhart had to cut and weld the tank leaving the owners with fuel leaks and a convoluted fueling system with an additional tank and pump. This car uses completely stock mechanicals. 2. Pre-89 xjs' are thinning out, let alone a good one, they are becoming very rare in any condition. 3. Just over 20k miles 4. One family owned since new 5. All documentation since new (it is extensive) 6. Runs perfectly without flaw (what else would a 20k mile car do) 7. The seat from the coupe was retained, no jump seat and no tacked on, ikea quality, storage box in the back seat area of this car. 8. The conversion was a no expense spared ordeal and it took up to a year to complete. Absolutely every material used was top quality, from the top boot being made of padded leather to the sound deadening headlining covered with tan tweed material. Even jaguar themselves didn't take the convertible to this level. The quality is such that in the car the difference between the coupe and this is indistinguishable. No wind noise, no leaks, just a fantastic experience. 9. The only xjs with stabilizer bracing to eliminate scuttle shake. This xjs was designed to be as tight as a coupe. Specially ordered, all documentation from new is present including the conversion documentation. None nicer anywhere. Services up to date, completely rust free, never neglected or winter driven. Top is electric and sweeps up/down perfectly. For that matter every single thing on this car functions perfectly. Every single item works, electric and mechanical - without fault. All tools and manuals accounted for.
