The vehicle has a 302 engine but comes with the original 260 engine, it has a 4 speed manual transmission This car was purchased as part of an estate. In my opinion this is a driver quality, older restoration, it does run and drive fine around the block however I have not been though the car since acquiring it

Seller's comments and description: the car runs, drives and stops. It is a 2 top car ( hard and soft top). I am not sure if the motor is a 260 or a 289. From what i see i believe it to be a 289 with an aluminum intake, holley carb, ford daul point distributor, and long tube headers. The original 4 speed and rearend are in the car and work fine. It has an alternator now but comes with the orignal generator and bracket. It has koni shocks and lat traction bars. It has the original jack and handle. It comes with a new front window seal. The body appears to be in great shape.

Little of its "originality" has been changed since it and seven siblings rolled from the assembly line on wednesday, september 29th, 1965. This car still wears its original carnival red code 39 paint and all original interior. Just about everything except tires are original. The exhaust, clutch and even spark plug wires are the same ones that it rolled off the factory floor with. The roll bar was hand crafted and installed by the selling dealer back in 1968. This car was purchased new april 10th 1968 from colony imports limited inc. And remained with the same owner until i bought it in 2013. The creator of the sunbeam prototype, george boskoff of shebly american, was there when i took delivery of the tiger. He exclaimed it was the nicest original tiger he had ever seen. I've done little to this car other than give it a good polish. The paint isn't perfect but presents well and still shines bright. The brake servo, carb, and clutch slave cylinder were rebuilt but other than that i've just enjoyed it. I've had 300 hp tigers but this is the most fun of them all. There's nothing like driving a car that is the same as it was intended to be the day it rolled off the factory floor. With just over 45,300 miles on the odometer the 260 cubic inch engine starts right up and idles perfectly. It shifts through the gears flawlessly. It has a great sound…. The seats and interior are in great shape too. There is some fading on the carpet but it still looks great. All gauges work including the clock. The trunk contains the original tool roll and the original vent tube is still connected to the battery. The battery is a new modern agm type and is branded lucas. Tires are new “correct” bias ply whitewalls.
